Francine opened Physio Posture Fitness Clinic in 1999.  Located in Randwick, NSW, Australia, where she continues to treat elite athletes and others with complex musculoskeletal conditions. Her key expertise is using her assessment system to identify the original contributor to pain and getting the client to learn techniques and exercise to ease secondary compensations for a long-term solution.

Author

Francine's passion for sharing her knowledge and expertise with her patients has included the completion and publication of four books. Her most recent release is The Back Pain Handbook.

​

The book was written for any person interested in understanding why they have back pain and what they can do to overcome it.

​

It combines a unique mix of practical exercises, assessment sheets and action points with the latest medical research, all complemented by humorous yet instructive illustrations, to help you overcome back pain - for good.

Technology in the Clinical Setting

Francine uses a range of the latest technologies in her practice to further separate her expertise from other clinics. This spans from using Neuro Fitness for the correction of mind-muscle imbalances to utilising Real Time Ultrasound imaging to assess and retrain stability muscles inhibited by back pain.

Research

As well as having anatomy, sports science and physiotherapy training, Francine completed a Masters of Science (Medical Faculty University of Sydney). Her thesis topic was Investigation of the Lumbar Disc of the Elite Athlete using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

​

The information she gained completing her thesis has been invaluable to her career working with clients of all ages and fitness levels as well as athletes.

Lecturer

Francine established  Physio Coaching Academy Australia (PCAA) in 2000 and has been presenting courses for health professionals and the general public since 1982 both nationally and internationally.

​

Francine is well known throughout Australia for her innovative ideas and integrative approach to injury and pain management as well as workshops designed for Health Professionals.

​

Throughout her 40 years of clinical practice Francine travelled and worked with many elite sports teams. She also lectures and trains Physiotherapists and other practitioners, including Pilates Instructors, Massage Therapists and Exercise Physiologists, nationally and internationally.
